Position Purpose

This position is responsible for assisting with day-to-day operations of the HR department including Payroll administration, management of the HRIS system (UKG), and supporting the Benefits Administration. In addition, this position works closely with the Compensation, Benefits & HR Technology Manager to answer all regulatory and compliance requests for information.


Position Responsibilities

  • Serves as the point person for all day-to-day HR questions and issues related to benefits, payroll, HR systems, and timekeeping.
  • Responsible for payroll processing on a semi-monthly basis (15th and last day of the month).
  • Assists with reviewing and resolving notices from Federal, State, and local tax agencies.
  • Works closely with benefits broker to resolve benefit-related issues and ensure the accuracy of monthly billing.
  • Overall responsibility for quarterly benefits audits.
  • Works with AVP, Comp and Benefits Manager, as well as benefits broker, to assist with annual benefits renewal process.
  • Monitors and corrects ACA on an ongoing basis ensuring accurate data for year-end.
  • Overall responsibility for employee termination process.
  • Maintains electronic employee files ensuring data integrity across various systems.
  • Manages daily ad-hoc changes and employee requests in HR system.
  • Assists with compliance and HR audits as needed.
  • Responsible for collecting and distributing all HR Department mail.


Minimum Education & Experience



  • 2+ years of professional HR experience for an organization with 200+ employees in multi-site, multi-state locations.
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent work experience.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Previous experience working in a regulated environment is a plus.


Technical Knowledge and Skills



  • Experience running payroll and working withing an HRIS systems is a strong plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office software suite. Proficiency in Excel is a strong plus.
  • Knowledge and experience with Federal and State (MD/VA/DC/PA) Labor Laws as they relate to payroll and benefits.
  • Experience with UKG is a plus but not required.



Working Arrangements



  • This is a fully onsite role expected to work in office Monday through Friday.



Compensation:



  • Base Salary Range: $22.67 - $31.74 hourly. Final determination of where you are at in the salary range is based on numerous factors such as relevant experience, skill set, education, and ability to meet qualifications within the job description.
  • Additional Compensation: This role will include a yearly annual target bonus based on individual performance.
