Position Objective:

The Intake Nurse is responsible for ensuring coordinated delivery of patient care in accordance with the established standards of care, mental health practice and hospital policy, goals and objectives. This position assists in contributing to the hospital's philosophy, objectives, educational and Performances Improvement efforts.


Qualifications

  • Education: Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.

  • Experience: A minimum of three (3) years experience in a psychiatric health-care facility.

  • Licensure: Currently licensed to practice by the Utah State Board of Nursing

  • Additional Requirements: Must pass a medication administration exam before administering medications. CPR certification is required. You will need to successfully complete our current training for restraints and seclusions. This training will need to be done prior to assisting in any patient restraints or seclusions and within 90 days of employment.
