Base Salary Range: $25/hr - 28/hr

This position supports our Calibration Solutions business. Our Calibration Solutions portfolio uses the principles of advanced metrology to enable customers to measure and calibrate critical parameters in applications such as Environmental and Process Monitoring, Dialysis, Gas Flow, Air Quality, and Torque Testing.

Job Summary

The Advanced Production Technician that supports our Calibrations Solutions business has responsibility for troubleshooting and resolving problems experienced by the end user during the service activities and determine the correction path for the instrument. They may diagnose the cause of equipment failures, perform repairs or coordinate maintenance activities, and ensure minimal downtime.

Key Job Responsibilities:



  • Under moderate supervision, perform routine electronic and mechanical assemblies of high precision instruments.
  • Follow established protocols and technical specifications to ensure accurate and precise measurements and build processes.
  • Soldering techniques, both surface mount technology (SMT) and through-hole, to ensure proper component attachment and reliable solder joints for PCA's.
  • Calibrate, repair, trouble shoot, and perform routine maintenance of assembled product.
  • Perform quality checks and inspections to ensure that products meet the required specifications.
  • Familiarity with electronic components, their specifications, and identification methods to be able to troubleshoot if the unit is not performing as intended.
  • Use various testing equipment, document results, and take corrective actions when deviations occur
  • Adhere to relevant industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company procedures
  • Set up, operate, and maintain standard test equipment and related fixtures.
  • Maintain detailed records of calibration procedures, results, and equipment status
  • Build and assemble product following standard procedures or verbal instruction.
  • Participate in developing, implementing, and improving procedures
  • Follow company policy and health and safety guidelines.


Qualifications/Education:



  • Associate degree or completion of a technical or vocational School
  • Additional technical education or certification applicable to industry can replace education.
  • 5 years related manufacturing work experience preferred.
  • Able to read and comprehend schematics, diagrams, drawings, layouts, manuals, and procedures.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot instrument malfunctions.
  • Experience using hand tools, precision measuring equipment, and electronic instrumentation.
  • Advanced soldering skills and ability to root-cause soldering issues.
  • Proficient with Excel and other software databases.
