Accounting Associate

The Accounting Associate at Publicis Sapient will contribute to the successful operation of the America's Controllership group. The group performs the month end close process for Publicis Sapient North America and provides account reconciliations and reporting, intercompany balancing, audit, and tax support. The individual in this role will also assist in the monthly intercompany billing process. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to gain exposure to month end close, tax, audit, and intercompany accounting.

Your Impact

• Prepare journal entries and support monthly close process

• Participate in the monthly preparation and review of account reconciliations

• Assist with balance sheet and P&L analysis and reconciliations
• Follow and enforce parent company accounting policies and procedures.
• Assist in the coordination of the intercompany billing cycle, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled
• Ensure intercompany accounts are balanced accurately across the entities to prevent discrepancies in financial statements

• Assist in providing information and documentation necessary for audits and to ensure tax compliance, which may require liaising with auditors and tax advisors to assist with queries and provide thorough documentation

• Find efficiencies and assist to implement new procedures and controls

Your Skills & Experience

• 2+ years of related accounting experience; exposure to month end close & booking journal entries
• Education: BS in Accounting or proven experience in accounting
• Intermediate to advanced experience with Excel
• Strong analytical skills and detail oriented
• Experience with medium-large, complex international companies
• Team player with the ability to adapt to changing priorities; go getter who isn't afraid to take on new challenges and problem solve
• Ability to complete deadline-oriented tasks with minimal supervision; strong analytical skills and attention to detail

Set Yourself Apart With:

• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, with an understanding of IFRS accounting principles
• Experience with SAP

Pay Range: $70,000 - $85,000

The range shown represents a grouping of relevant ranges currently in use at Publicis Sapient. Actual range for this position may differ, depending on location and specific skillset required for the work itself.
