Responsibilities
Director of Risk Management North Star Behavioral Health is one of Alaska's premier mental health facilities offering hope and healing for children, teens and adults who struggle with psychiatric or substance abuse issues. We also offer military-specific care to first responders, service members, veterans and dependents at the Chris Kyle Patriots Hospital. The Risk Management Director promotes, coordinates and performs risk management activities within the Hospital by assisting staff and employees in understanding the scope, objectives and procedures of the hospital, and in utilizing various reporting mechanisms. In order to carry out these functions the Risk Management Director accesses all necessary and relevant hospital and medical staff data including, but not limited to committee minutes, medical records, medical staff files, and other hospital operating data. The structure and functions of the Risk Management Programs are designed to comply with guidelines and standards of JCAHO, other regulatory agencies. Risk Management

Qualifications Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences or relates field and a minimum of four (4) years' experience in quality and risk management within a psychiatric treatment facility OR a combination of training and experience.
