Position Title: Machine Operator - Extrusion
Wage: $23.00 - $30.00/Hour Shift: 1st Shift, 2nd Shift, 3rd Shift Hours: 6:00 AM-2:00 PM, 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM, 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM QPS Employment Group hiring a dedicated Extrusion Machine Operator to join our client company in Des Plaines, IL. The company is a leading manufacturing company focused on producing high-quality products in the extrusion industry. Machine Operator - Extrusion Responsibilities: - Teardown, set up, and start an extruder line with direction from Cell Lead - Must know how to use calipers, micrometer, gauges, other measuring devices, and mating parts to ensure quality products and parts meet customer specifications - Ability to read blueprints - Monitor various inspection/production reports to ensure the production of quality product - Efficiently manage production of product from start to finish of run - Minimize scrap and regrind - Maximize efficiency to reduce overall set-up and start-up time - Must be capable of, but not always required to watch over multiple extrusion lines - Maintains a clean and orderly work environment - Strictly adheres to Company and Plant safety policies and procedures Requirements for Machine Operator - Extrusion: - High School Diploma or equivalent preferred - At least one year of experience in set-up and/or extrusion process - Basic math and computer skills - Able to communicate/read/write in English - Able to read blueprints - Forklift certification preferred QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the Midwest.
