Due to our continued growth, we are seeking a motivated and growth-oriented person to join our team as the Regional Operations Manager for our Leander, Texas branch. This position is an exempt, full-time role and reports to the Director of Operations for the West Region. Minimal travel is required.
The Regional Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations and performance of a designated Street Smart location. This role ensures operational efficiency, consistency in execution, and the achievement of performance goals in line with company standards and objectives. The Regional Operations Manager will lead, mentor, and support Service Technician, ensuring the seamless integration of company policies, operational procedures, and customer service excellence. A key focus is on driving productivity, maintaining high service standards, and implementing strategies for continuous improvement.
Some of the key responsibilities include:
General Management
- Coordinate equipment repairs and maintenance onsite and offsite
- Responsible for successful team member onboarding and training
- Quarterly reviews with team members
- Identify opportunities to enhance operations and processes in order to exceed assigned budgets
- Manage and review monthly operations budget
- Perform all regional operations administrative duties, including employee relations tasks in partnership with Human Resources and other employee management/ oversight duties
- Strategic planning in the region to ensure that personal and operational goals are met
- Ensure location safety goals are met
Equipment & Customer Service Management
- Responsible for managing all activities related to the rental and sale of equipment, including ensuring equipment availability, functionality, deployments, customer satisfaction, repairs, etc.
- Manage the repair and preventative maintenance schedules for all equipment entering or exiting the facility or surrounding areas
- Ensure quality control for all equipment leaving facility
- Schedule service and preventative maintenance work for any internal (non-rental) assets
- Manage inventory and conduct bi-weekly audits
- Assist in oversight and management of the Intelligent Work Zone services provided on the regional level
- Management of Smart Work Zones in the region
- Monitor and respond to issues with regard to all customer-impacting activities
- Provide a high level of customer service and satisfaction for all regional operations
- Assist in the management of customer relationships alongside the Regional Sales Manager
- Repair and deploy equipment, which at times could be performed on the side of the road with live traffic
Facility & CRM Management
- Coordinate and manage all facility maintenance and upkeep
- Manage relationships with facility landlords and other facility service providers
- Manage utilities and all other facility needs
- Manage opportunities and contracts within CRM on a daily basis to ensure they are reflective of ongoing operations
- Manage all information with regard to equipment repairs, asset preventive maintenance, facility maintenance within the company CRM system
- The ability to fulfill required regional travel to current and potential clients
- Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience: 2-3 years of management experience
Licenses/Certificates:
- Valid driver's license and ability to qualify for a DOT medical card to drive a Commercial Motor Vehicle.
Technology/Equipment:
- Computer skills and proficiency, especially with Microsoft Office products and database management
- Proficiency in using software technologies (i.e. Microsoft, GSuite, CRM, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree is preferred
- Experience:
- Inventory Management
- 6S implementation and management
- Forklift operation
- Warehouse/ manufacturing experience
- Engineering experience
- Any shop experience (machining, welding and manufacturing)
- Basic understanding of electronics and 12-volt circuits
Physical and Mental Demands
The Regional Operations Manager is a blend of an office-based and facility based role and may at times require assisting with the transportation, setup and deployment of equipment. The primary physical and mental demands include:
- Performs extensive standing, driving, walking, bending, twisting, stooping, crouching, kneeling, squatting, crawling, and climbing.
- Moves equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Positions self to maintain equipment in the shop and on a roadside, including on equipment that is overhead and near the ground.
- Inspects equipment to detect maintenance issues.
- Moves safely over uneven terrain.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include normal vision
- Works in hot and cold environments and on concrete floors and on side of road
- All work environments will have moderate noise exposure.
- Travel conditions may involve being in an aircraft or automobile for extended periods.
- Wears personal protective equipment including, but not limited to hearing protection, eye protection, steel-toed shoes and gloves most of the day.
- Qualifies for a DOT medical card as a requirement of driving a Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV)
- Able to read and speak English well enough to perform certain tasks such as converse with the public, understand traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, make legible entries on reports and records, and communicate with inspectors and other law enforcement officials (per the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration's requirements of drivers of commercial motor vehicles).
