Overview

The Sales Development Representative is an inside sales representative that focuses on outreach prospecting and lead qualification with a focus of connecting with as many leads as possible to determine if they are a good customer fit for the organization.



What you will be doing

    Responsible for building and maintaining a healthy top-of-funnel pipeline, ensuring a steady flow of qualified opportunities for the Sales Directors they support.
  • Attempts proactive contact to identify and qualify potential opportunities in named accounts, ideally those showing signals of buying activity
  • Leverages inbound inquiries and first- and third-party data sources to identify active accounts and determine and execute subsequent actions
  • Leverage account-based techniques to personalize interactions and engagements with targeted accounts, enhancing lead quality and conversion rates.
  • Qualifies potential opportunities and accounts in response to inbound calls, chats, form fills, and other inbound engagement actions from named accounts
  • Identifies and engages with key personas within targeted accounts, leveraging insights and data to personalize outreach and communications.
  • Assists in the execution and optimization of marketing campaigns, providing feedback from the field to refine and improve targeting strategies.
  • Uses a multithreaded approach that leverages a spectrum of tactics, including phone outreach with voicemail, email, social media, and chat, to connect with prospects and foster meaningful interactions
  • Conducts qualification of leads by performing pre-qualification criteria such as BANT qualification, decision and timeline before passing them along to the Account Development Representative for further qualification.
  • Maintains and updates customer relationship management (CRM) systems with accurate and timely data on leads and interactions which includes compling with demand management- related service level agreements.
  • Comply with all demand management-related service-level agreements.
  • Conduct online research for selected accounts, understanding organizational structure, leadership changes, and key imperatives and needs, and using insights to develop messaging and content for outbound communications.
  • Comply with all corporate and departmental privacy and data security policies and practices, including but not limited to, Hyland's Information Systems Security Policy

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Ability to perform prospect and account research
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to thrive in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
  • Demonstrated ability to establish rapport and gain the trust of others
  • Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm
  • Desire to continue to learn, whether to advance a career in inside sales or transition to field sales
  • Up to 10% travel time required

Based on individual states' employment laws, the following details are to comply with the relevant salary posting requirements: base salary range of $40,000-$50,000 and eligible for benefits
