Join our Corporate FP&A team as a Financial Analyst and become an integral part of the financial engine that drives our company's strategic decision-making. In this role, you'll develop insightful financial analyses that tell the story behind our numbers, partner with business leaders across the organization, and contribute to the financial narratives that inform our executive leadership team.

This position offers exceptional visibility into company-wide operations, opportunities to learn from experienced finance leaders, and provides a springboard for career growth in finance. You'll gain valuable experience analyzing total company performance while building the skills needed to advance in corporate finance.

This position is hybrid at IDEXX World Campus in Westbrook, Maine with a requirement of 8 days per month.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Analyze Total Company Performance - Assist in analyzing company-wide revenue growth and margin expansion, identifying trends and opportunities that inform executive decision-making.
  • Participate in Strategic Financial Processes - Support our budgeting, forecasting, and reporting cycles, helping to deliver key insights that influence business decisions across the organization.
  • Develop Financial Storytelling - Create compelling financial reports and presentations that translate complex data into actionable business intelligence.
  • Partner Across Finance - Collaborate with Finance teams from various Lines of Business and Functions to understand their contributions to overall company performance and integrate their insights into corporate financial reporting.

Additional Activities

You'll also have opportunities to engage in various projects and initiatives including, but not limited to:

  • Supporting the development of financial models used by senior finance leaders for strategic decision-making
  • Identifying opportunities to enhance planning, analysis, and reporting processes
  • Assisting with month-end and quarter-end processes including account reconciliations and performance analysis

What You Need To Succeed:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, or related field.
  • Previous financial modeling experience.
  • Experience with SAP or other high-end ERP systems.
  • Experience with EPM systems (e.g., Anaplan, OneStream, Oracle Planning).
  • Experience working with large datasets and visualization/BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, SAP Analytics Cloud, Alteryx).
  • Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Drive to learn, grow, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
