Description

The Senior Technical Services Rep is a critical role accountable for growing and optimizing strategic customer relationships. A successful candidate in this position leverages our value proposition as a customer support role responsible for building and maintaining relationships with clients by providing technical expertise while proactively identifying issues and value creation opportunities, while maximizing customer satisfaction. This role partners cross functionally to streamline processes, solve problems, eliminate waste, reach cost savings objectives, enhance margin and profitability, and add value through improvements for business and customer.

This position reports to the Director Sales - Packaging Texas and is located at our facility in Fort Worth, Texas.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support a portfolio of large customers for an assigned region; develop and maintain relationships with critical customer contacts and leverage relationships and product / process knowledge to drive enhanced value creation for the business and customer.
  • Use internal LDI partnerships across Design, Tooling, Customer Service, Pricing, Purchasing, Shipping, Production, and Scheduling to triage issues and create innovative solutions. Collaborate across functional groups and with customers to troubleshoot and solve issues; quickly identifying solutions to mitigate risk and improve overall performance.
  • Leverage operational knowledge and continuous improvement mindset to identify needs, uncover customer pain points, and align LDI capabilities with customer needs. Utilize data-driven decision making to quantify market and customer-specific knowledge, and support Account Manager in negotiation of commercial terms for increased revenue and profit margin.
  • Utilizes formal (customer audits, Gemba walks, product reviews) and informal (meetings, site visits) methods to identify opportunities to improve customer relationship (improved OTD, improved quality, lower material costs, etc.) while improving customer and company profitability.
  • Prospects and cultivates customer relationships by building and managing the technical customer relationship.
  • Contributes to the development of sales plans and strategies by aligning customer requirements with business capabilities and identifying opportunities to increase volume and improve profit margin.
  • Serves as a trusted market resource regarding products, solutions, customers, competitors, and supply chain trends; share critical information with stakeholders to influence solutions, pricing, product development, and manufacturing optimization.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor's degree in Sales, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or related field OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years' corrugated packaging or paper manufacturing experience.
  • 5+ years' experience developing solutions for customers.
  • Experience translating customer-specific priorities into company success utilizing problem solving, critical thinking, and commercialization skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Lean Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, and/or Operational Excellence training, certification, and/or practical application experience.
  • Previous experience with advanced Microsoft Excel functions (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, Conditional Formatting, etc.).
  • Experience reading blueprints.
  • High level of financial acumen and mastery of business math.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

The earning potential for this position is $93,840-$117,300 based on experience and book of business. This position is also eligible for [mileage reimbursement or company vehicle program]. The compensation posted is the anticipated pay for the position at the time of the posting. We may pay above or below posted amount based on several factors, including, but not limited to actual sales, education and/or certifications, skills, experience, or work location. Some positions may qualify for additional compensation in the form of bonuses.
