DESCRIPTION

Under the direction of the Practice Manager and the Patient Services Lead, the Front Desk Coordinator is the first point of contact for patients. The Front Desk Coordinator performs and coordinates front office patient centered duties, to include, but not limited to, greeting patients, co-pay collection, appointment scheduling, authorizations and referrals. The Front Desk Coordinator serves as a resource for patients, physicians, staff, and ambulatory care managers. Other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • A minimum of three (3) years previous related experience in an ambulatory clinic and or/healthcare setting.
  • Experience with registration, appointment scheduling, and insurance verification.
  • Proven knowledge of third-party payors including federal, state, and private health plans.
  • Proficient computer skills/ability and to work between multiple systems during calls.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in an interactive environment.
  • Must possess excellent customer service skills; with ability to communicate clearly both verbally and written.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • EPIC experience.
  • Authorization and registration experience.
  • Women's Health - OBGYN experience.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $68,883 - $68,883 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $32.99 - $32.99

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
