Shifts Available and Hours:Night shift, 6pm- 6am

Shift Premium: $1.00/hour extra for shift differential

Bonus: This position is eligible to participate in the Plant Profit Sharing Program after completing six months of employment. (Quarterly profit sharing)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and operate casting or furnace equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring compliance with production and safety standards.
  • Monitor and control process parameters to maintain product quality and optimize efficiency.
  • Read and interpret work orders, production schedules, and process specifications to determine operational requirements.
  • Manage material flow and inventory, including preparing and loading raw materials, alloys, and fluxes as needed.
  • Ensure proper metal quality and temperature control through continuous monitoring and adjustments.
  • Perform routine inspections and minor maintenance on assigned equipment to ensure operational reliability.
  • Lead and coordinate activities with the casting or furnace team to maintain smooth operations and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  • Maintain accurate production records, including metal usage, process deviations, and quality reports.
  • Follow and enforce safety protocols and housekeeping standards to ensure a clean and hazard-free work environment.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • No high school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 2 years of work experience required; prior manufacturing experience and/or quality inspection experience preferred.
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) required.
  • Must be able to work long hours in seasonal temperatures.
  • Must follow all work and safety instructions.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn and eagerness to grow.
  • Ability to follow detailed directions.

Preferred Skills/ Qualifications:

  • Experience in metal casting or furnace operations preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills - Ability to identify and resolve process or equipment issues quickly to maintain efficiency and product quality.
  • Understanding of metallurgical processes and temperature control - Knowledge of metal properties, alloys, and temperature requirements for optimal casting or melting operations.
  • Leadership and teamwork abilities - Experience coordinating tasks and working collaboratively with production teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Commitment to safety and quality standards - Familiarity with OSHA regulations, PPE requirements, and best practices for maintaining a safe work environment in a heavy manufacturing setting.
  • Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
