Columbia University in the City of New York: Columbia University Irving Medical Center: Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons: Pathology Location 02 Open Date Jul 23, 2024 Salary Range or Pay Grade $62,400- $62,400 Description The Department of Pathology and Cell Biology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center seeks a highly qualified researcher who will be responsible for perform histology, imaging and primary tissue culture as part of a project to examine synapses in human cortical interneurons. The candidate will be proficient in immunohistochemistry, sectioning, confocal imaging and basic tissue culture. They will be working in concert with a postdoc and a staff associate as a team and will be supervised by the postdoc. Lab Mission/Purpose: The Au lab focuses on cortical interneuron circuit assembly during early life and how circuit mis-assembly contributes to neuropsychiatric and neurodevelopmental disorders.
