Description & Requirements OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY The long-term research goal of the Pan lab is to understand the molecular, cellular and circuit mechanisms underlying psychiatric disorders and develop novel therapeutics to treat these disorders. The lab uses a broad spectrum of techniques such as in vitro electrophysiology, ex vivo and in vivo neurophysiology, genetic and molecular manipulation, biochemistry, cell biology, as well as behavioral testing. The Broad Institute is a leading biomedical research institute, known for its cutting-edge technology/research and highly collaborative research environment. The mission of the Stanley Center for Psychiatric Research at the Broad Institute is to discover novel therapeutics to ameliorate the burden of major psychiatric and neurological illnesses.
