The Medical Technologist is responsible for performing clinical laboratory testing which require independent thought and judgment. Responsible for the testing and assessment of blood products and ensures that all testing is completed in a correct and timely manner; follows established policies and procedures to ensure the highest quality of laboratory results; Responsible for the operation and maintenance of laboratory equipment; maintains laboratory supply inventory; prepares specimens for testing as well as labeling of blood products; issuing products for transfusion and other duties as assigned. Must meet CLIA requirements for testing personnel for moderate and high complexity testing.

Hours:

Position is Full- time, 3-11pm, with every other weekend, and on call rotation

Qualifications:



  • Great attention to detail
  • Computer and Microsoft Office Software Proficiency
  • Ability to multi-task, work in a team environment as well as independently
  • Great organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, or biological science or medical technology
  • Minimum one year laboratory experience preferred
  • Ability to problem solve and utilize theoretical knowledge and critical thinking skills
