CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking a Business Development Leader to join our Power & Manufacturing - Electric Distribution Team working remotely.



YOUR IMPACT

CHA's distribution design engineers have the deep experience and skillset to plan, design, and permit sustainable electric distribution infrastructure and all types of utility distribution systems. To realize the dependable, cost-effective interconnection of overhead and underground assets, we visualize, analyze and optimize how the system functions with itself and outside systems, and improve energy delivery and grid resilience.

The Business Development Leader will support, develop, implement, and deliver sales strategy that aligns with the overall business strategy and work with the business leadership team to develop and implement plans for new business. The professional in this role will maintain a client database (CRM), generate leads, and follow-up with clients; develop content in support of social media, marketing campaigns, website, and industry conferences; and coach staff on successful client interaction and business development strategies. The Business Development Leader will also manage annual sales budget and sales pipeline. This key role will participate in networking groups and attend conferences, meetings, and industry events.

REQUIREMENTS

    Bachelor's Degree required
  • Professional technical licensure or equivalent professional experience preferred
  • Minimum 10 years' experience (combination of project management, technical leadership and business development experience) with proven success as a leader
  • Existing connections within the electric and gas utility space in geographies including southeast, southwest and mid-western USA
  • Technically astute and strategic in thinking to properly position the team for strong technical and financial performance and client satisfaction
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and understanding of their team
  • An articulate and persuasive communicator, both one-on-one and in front of large groups
  • Ability to inspire, motivate, build and manage relationships across the company, and influence decisions from the top down and bottom up
  • Trustworthy with the ability to handle confidential matters and sensitive information or situations with discretion


SALARY RANGE:

$165,000 - $190,000

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
