Marketing Manager, Events and Experiences - Oncology

As the Marketing Manager, Events & Experiences for Myriad's Oncology business unit, you'll play a key role in bringing our brand to life by developing in-person and virtual event experiences that inspire curiosity and engagement from healthcare providers and other priority audiences. You'll lead the event strategy for oncology and execute with a team of internal and external creative talent by collaborating with digital, campaign, channel, product marketers, and agency partners to translate user needs and business objectives into experiences that engage customers to want to learn more.

To succeed in this role, you should be a dynamic thinker that can easily go from conceiving a high-level event marketing strategy to putting the plan into action. You should be an expert in event management and creating experiences that address customer needs while embracing and building equity for the brand. You are comfortable and experienced in working with stakeholders of various disciplines and levels and are constantly seeking new insights and perspectives to better shape your strategies.

Responsibilities



  • Owns the top-down event strategy for the Oncology business unit including cross-functional alignment to goals, budget, resource allocation, and execution. Events will include conference exhibitions, virtual event management (webinars), advisory board and other customer-facing internal meetings, and oversight of benefits from marketing partnerships with key professional organizations.
  • Plans and executes all aspects of event management, including but not limited to: pre-event planning and communication, venue selection, vendor negotiation, resource management, event staffing, event staff training, lead management, branded materials management, event communications, and post-event measurement.
  • Develops and manages conference budget, ensuring all expenses are accounted for and event stays within financial limits.
  • Identifies needs for event speakers and presenters and collaborates with internal team to identify KOLs and thought leaders. Handles event speakers' schedules, contracts, and technical needs.
  • Designs and implements event promotional communication plans and content leveraging omnichannel strategy and cross-functional team to maximize attendance and engagement.
  • Oversees the registration process, including the development of registration materials, managing online registration platforms, and on-site attendee check-in.
  • Performance Metrics and Technology: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of events and sponsored experiences. Adjusts strategy to maximize effectiveness. Prepare KPI reporting for executive leadership team detailing event performance and recommendations.
  • Collaboration and Feedback: Work closely with sales, marketing partners, clinical, and training teams obtain evaluations post-event to ensure a constant feedback loop across all functions and to ensure opportunity to receive feedback to continuously improve
  • Ensures compliance with all relevant health, safety, and legal requirements, creating a safe and secure environment for all participants.


Qualifications:



  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 5+ of experience in B2B marketing or sales in biotech, medical device, or pharmaceutical industry
  • 5+ years of professional experience in event management preferred


Other Skills and Experience



  • Digital content creation for social media and direct email marketing
  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud required
  • Experience managing all aspects of small to large scale healthcare conventions, events, conferences, trade shows, speaking engagements, company hosted events, etc.
  • Proven experience aligning event marketing strategies with business objectives
  • Experience aligning event strategy with sales team and other stakeholders
  • Experience developing and executing digital and other engagement strategies to promote events, including pre-event, live-event, and post-event campaigns
  • Proven results in the form of increased physician/clinician engagement and achievement of sales objectives and goals
  • Experience working with agencies to create video and graphic content
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities
  • Project management or Agile mindset and approach to workflow management
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with senior leadership
