Job Description The Johnson County Department of Health and Environment seeks to fill an opening for a full-time Dietitian to work in the Women, Infants, and Children Program (WIC). The responsibilities of this position include performing professional public health nutrition services through direct contact and group education. This position will be located at the Johnson County Northeast Office, 6000 Lamar, Mission, KS 66202. This position allows for remote work, up to two (2) days a week, once fully trained in the position. This position will remain open until filled with first review of applications on Thursday, February 6, 2025 Duties include:
Completes certifications on WIC clients by assessing their nutritional needs, by performing and analyzing anthropometric and biochemical data; identifies healthy food plans to meet individual and family needs considering social, economic, cultural, and other factors; refers individuals to community and clinical resources and coordinates referrals for other health services.

Within sixty (60) days of hire, employee must produce proof of immunization, proof of immunity, proof that immunization is medically contraindicated, submit a written objection to immunization based upon a sincerely held religious belief, or receive vaccination for the following: Measles, Mumps, and Rubella (MMR); Tetanus Diphtheria and Acellular Pertussis (TDAP); and Varicella (Chickenpox). |
