Job Description

The Head Golf Professional will lead the day-to-day golf operations with an emphasis on the member golf experience and player development programs. The Head Golf Professional will oversee the Golf Professional staff and Outside Services team to ensure an exceptional "golfer experience," for both members and guests of the resort. The position will have a constant presence in all areas of the operation and directly oversee the Outside



Responsibilities

    Lead and direct the Golf Professional Staff and Outside Services team to ensure a world-class golf experience.
  1. Daily oversight of the member course
  2. Plan and execute all member golf events
  3. Plan and support member golf trips
  4. Assist and support membership sales efforts
  5. Support the golf operation as needed
  6. Oversee member player development programs
  7. Oversight and maintenance of golf portion of member website, member booking engines
  8. Ensure timely and relevant communication of golf items to members
  9. Oversee member recreational golf committee and handicap committee
  10. Maintain close working relationship with the agronomy team and other department heads throughout the property
  11. Oversee and approve all weekly golf staff schedules, time sheets, payroll, purchase orders, and invoices.
  12. Assist and support golf retail efforts including special orders, merchandising, and fitting experiences
  13. Enforce all rules and regulations governing golf course usage

Qualifications

  • 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Class A PGA professional preferred.
  • Associate or Bachelor degree preferred.
  • Extensive experience with computerized POS and tee time system required.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, Spanish a plus.

Salary: $75,000-$80,000

The pay scale provided is a range that Omni Hotels & Resorts reasonably expects to pay. Actual compensation offered may fluctuate based on a candidate's qualifications and/or experience.
