Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring a Power Systems Division (PSD) Systems Engineer in Richmond, Virginia. The Power Systems Division (PSD) Systems Engineer is responsible for selling products and services for complex power generation systems. This position will provide pre-sales engineering and support, including preparing and reviewing detailed specifications during the design/build phase of projects, will gather and provide financial, technical and commercial information from outside vendors, internal departments, and other industry sources and provide an overall review of proposal to ensure that it is complete and accurate. Seeking candidates with a minimum three years of industrial/electrical power generation systems equipment experience; other similar industries will be considered. College degree preferred.
Requirements for the Power Systems Division (PSD) Systems Engineer position include:
Physical requirements must be met for the Power Systems Division (PSD) Systems Engineer job, including the ability sit or stand for prolonged periods of time. Able to lift, carry and maneuver items up to 20 pounds in weight. This position may require reaching, standing, stooping, kneeling, bending and climbing beside, onto and under a variety of heavy equipment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus. This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
