What We DoLeads the development, design, and implementation of Information Security awareness program initiatives while supporting broader corporate communications efforts. This role is responsible for creating and executing comprehensive communication strategies to drive engagement and promote a security-conscious culture within the organization. The ideal candidate is highly collaborative and will excel in writing, content development, and strategic planning, with experience in technology communications.

Job Description: Essential Functions

Communications Strategy and Planning:
Develops and implements creative communication strategies to promote information security initiatives. Plans and executes end-to-end communication campaigns, including measuring their effectiveness and impact.

Content Generation:
Writes and curates content for the company's Security and Privacy Center and CyberSmart Newsletter, providing homebuyers with actionable guidance on information security and consumer protection. Translates complex cybersecurity concepts into easily understandable content.

Presentations and Public Speaking:
Supports Information Security department with internal and external speaking engagements including presentation assets. Actively participates in internal fraud prevention working groups.

Stakeholder Reporting:
Tracks and reports on the effectiveness of security awareness programs, delivering actionable insights for continuous improvement. Collaborates with business and technical teams to ensure programs drive behavior change and foster a security culture. Supports the monitoring and reporting of industry news to corporate leadership, drafting and editing of news releases and other communications content, and publishing of corporate news and blogs.

Program Oversight:
Oversees various programs, including the Data Security Event Program, Information Security Awareness Program, Information Security Coordinator Council, and department communications. Ensures all communications are aligned with the company's security objectives.

Project Management:
Leads projects related to new training tools and communication initiatives. Regularly interacts with senior management and peers in other departments to gain cooperation, exchange information, and present project plans and reports.

Program Administration:
Oversees the program communications, including all assets, and identifies budget needs. Establishes clear metrics that align with Information Security goals and sets up routine reporting and tracking to measure program effectiveness. Facilitates work and problem resolution between work groups.

  • Influences senior management on department priorities and cost controls.
  • Achieves objectives for multiple projects and resolves critical issues.

Knowledge and Skills/Technology Used

  • Communications Strategy:Experience in developing and implementing communication strategies and campaigns.
  • Content Development:Strong writing skills and experience in creating engaging content.
  • Public Speaking:Ability to represent the department at various speaking engagements.
  • Stakeholder Reporting:Proficient in tracking and reporting program effectiveness.
  • Teamwork:Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Strategic Management:Ability to communicate vision and direction, set goals, and measure results.
  • Ethics:Deals with others honestly and adheres to company policies.
  • Customer Focus:Demonstrates commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Technical Skills:Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with HTML, CSS, Adobe Creative Cloud, ContactMonkey (or other email delivery tool), CisionOne (or other media monitoring tools) and Power BI is a plus.

Typical Education

  • BA/BS degree in Communications, Journalism, or equivalent experience is preferred.

Typical Range of Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in a role focused on employee communications.
  • 2+ years of experience in a role focused on information security or technology.

License or Certification (Optional)

  • CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker), CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Certified Professional), SSCP (Systems Security Certified Practitioner), CISM (Certified Information Security Management)

The pay range for this role is $95,00.00 - $127,150.00

This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting. Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.
