About the role The Product Manager - Payments will own the strategy, development, and optimization of Auctane's payments capabilities. This role involves building a comprehensive payments infrastructure to meet the needs of small businesses while ensuring seamless integration with Auctane's platform. Reporting to the Senior Director of Payments and Billing, the Product Manager will work cross-functionally to deliver secure, scalable, and innovative payment solutions that support Auctane's global growth. This position is hybrid (3 days per week in office) and is located in Austin, Texas. - Payments Capabilities for Small Businesses:
- Define and develop payment solutions that address the unique needs of small businesses, including payment processing, multi-currency support, and flexible payment methods.
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to create user-friendly experiences for payment setup, invoicing, and transaction management.
- Gather customer feedback to continuously refine and enhance payment features.
- Payment Infrastructure for Auctane's Platform:
- Build and optimize the backend payment infrastructure to support high transaction volumes and ensure reliability and scalability.
- Work with engineering to integrate payment gateways, processors, and other financial partners.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as PCI-DSS and other global payment requirements.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner with the Senior Director of Payments and Billing, engineering, customer success, and finance teams to align on product priorities and deliverables.
- Work closely with legal and compliance teams to address regulatory considerations and mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with product marketing to launch new payment features and educate customers about their benefits.
- Goals and Metrics:
- Define success metrics for payment products, including transaction success rates, customer adoption, and revenue impact.
- Monitor and analyze performance data to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
- Report on progress and align initiatives with broader company objectives.
What are we looking for?
- 5+ years of product management experience, with 3+ years focused on payments, fintech, or related domains.
- Strong understanding of payment ecosystems, including gateways, processors, and compliance frameworks.
- Proven ability to deliver customer-centric solutions that balance usability with security and compliance.
- Exceptional analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for empowering small businesses and addressing their unique challenges.
