The primary function of the General Helper position is to safely perform a wide range of tasks that include conducting quality checks, material set up, assisting crew members, and maintaining a clean and organized space.



DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Review work schedule, check equipment and supplies required to perform the work scheduled.
  2. Prepare for operations, check and/or perform any necessary completion of work from the previous shift.
  3. Clean area throughout the shift, secure all equipment and machinery, and complete all required paperwork. Most of the manual cleaning equipment used are high pressure hoses.
  4. Help assist or operate machinery to expected performance levels
  5. Assisting with machinery operations during upset conditions can consist of lifting parts up to 50 lbs.
  6. Assist crew members and work in team environment.
  7. Help meet or exceed production, waste and quality goals.
  8. Able to lift and transport up to 50 lbs. Most all items that are required to be lifted manually have to be carried up and down flights of stairs.
  9. Assist and/or perform other work as assigned.
  10. Special projects and assignments as business dictates.
  11. Responsible for the maintenance, creation and control of all personally identifiable information or any other information protected by any Confidentiality or Privacy Standards or Company Policies that you have access or knowledge of, including but not limited to any state or federal regulations including HIPPA.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • Basic computer skills
  • Willingness to work in hot, humid, cold and noisy industrial environment
  • Willingness to perform repetitive and physically demanding tasks for extended periods (lifting, walking, climbing, pushing, twisting, stooping
  • Willingness to wear necessary Personal Protective Equipment (safety glasses, ear plugs, hard hat, leather steel toe boots, etc.)
  • Willingness to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations
  • Must be able to complete tasks that require a particular speed or productivity quota
  • Must be able to adhere to process protocol and must be able to apply established protocols in a timely manner



PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for a prolonged period as well as bending and stooping regularly
  • The job duties will require the employee to utilize repetitive fine manipulation with hands
  • The employee is frequently required to talk or hear
  • The employee is required to reach with hands and arms
  • The employee must regularly push/pull/lift 40 pounds unassisted and occasionally more with assistance
  • Specific vision abilities for this job include close vision, distance vision and depth vision

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • 24/7 manufacturing plant
  • Must be willing and able to work off hours, weekends, and holidays as necessary
  • Loud, wet, varied temperatures, and outside in the elements
