Job Title: Director, Talent Acquisition

Travel: 10%

Salary Range: $125K to 144K*

Position Overview:

The Director, Talent Acquisition will design and implement the overall recruiting strategy for Vibrant Emotional Health. In this role, you will enhance our ability to attract top talent. You will oversee a team of talent acquisition managers and specialists to ensure our talent acquisition process meets organizational objectives.

Duties/Responsibilities:




  • Manage, develop, and provide counsel to the talent acquisition team on recruiting techniques for both exempt and non-exempt positions while owning the full lifecycle of talent acquisition across the organization - from sourcing to offer negotiation



  • Elevate, train and evaluate our talent acquisition team



  • Assess external labor market conditions to develop the most effective recruiting channels and methods



  • Develop and oversee the screening and selection processes for evaluating potential candidates



  • Design and deliver manager trainings around the interviewing/talent acquisition process



  • Create and maintain recruiting dashboards, using metrics to drive improvements in the recruiting process



  • Build strong relationships with senior leadership and hiring managers to understand and forecast needs and initiatives



  • Develop and manage external relationships with diverse community groups, universities, job boards, and other organizations to create diverse talent pools



  • Partner with hiring managers to create or improve candidate hiring assessments



  • Keep up to date with current employment legislation and ensure that line managers are effectively briefed on any relevant changes



  • Build talent pipelines for current and future job openings



  • Lead all sourcing strategies



  • Implement online and offline employer branding activities



  • Prepare and review our annual recruitment budget



  • Oversee all stages of candidate experience (including application, interviews and communication)Forecast hiring needs based on business growth plans



  • Develop a network of potential future hires (e.g. past applicants and referred candidates)




Required Skills/Abilities:




  • Proven work experience as a Talent Acquisition Director or similar role



  • Demonstrable experience managing full-cycle recruiting and employer branding initiatives



  • Solid understanding of sourcing techniques and tools (e.g. social networks)



  • Hands-on experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATSs) and HR databases - Workday experience a plus



  • Good team-management abilities



  • Excellent communication and written skills with the ability to network and foster long-term relationships (with internal teams, external partners and candidates)



  • Ability to work in a fast-paced changing environment

  • Evaluates risk factors with potential to disrupt achievement of strategic goals affecting large- scale or multiple programs and responds with corrective action.






  • Decisions have significant impact, requiring consultation with organizational leaders and external partners to determine appropriate solutions.



  • Consult with executive staff on long- term impact affecting departmental and/or organizational performance.



  • Approves decisions that commit financial and human resources to a course of action.



  • Strategic and tactical decision-making, subject to executive review.

  • Demonstrates and articulates strategic vision and direction in response to internal and external forces affecting the work environment



  • Conceptualizes, implements and evaluates strategic business and program goals and objectives.



  • Establishes broad policies governing the organization, consistent with mission, values and best practices, and assures compliance.



  • Assures integration of strategies and shared outcomes.



  • Performance and outcomes are assessed by executive leadership.



Managing/Directing Work:




  • Plays a leadership role in translating the organization's vision and values into planning and goals



  • Shapes and interprets policy to create and reinforce an environment consistent with mission, values and best practices



  • Directs and provides guidance in the development of long- term organizational strategic plans.




Job Knowledge



  • Translates multi- dimensional concepts and issues into understandable components.



  • Ability to lead multiple teams/critical program, with overlapping time constraints.



  • Applies deep understanding of professional principles and standards, a high degree of creativity, foresight and judgement and broad management skills in planning, organizing and guiding programs and activities of major consequence.



Required Qualifications:



  • Minimum of ten years of substantial, progressively responsible relevant experience in a high-volume recruiting environment



  • Bachelor's degree in HR Management, Business Administration, or relevant field



  • Previous experience with managing and developing teams



  • Excellent Oral and written communication skills



  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to create, measure, and scale the right workflow between candidates, hiring managers, and the recruiting team



  • Demonstrated experience supporting diversity hiring initiatives



  • Knowledge of hiring processes, skill development, and organizational analysis frameworks.



  • Proficient at using software and leveraging technology for talent acquisition processes.



  • A thorough understanding of state and federal legal processes, requirements, and legislation.



  • Skilled at negotiation, presentation, and execution.



  • Meticulous, hard-working, and goal-driven.



Physical Requirements:



  • Mostly sedentary work; using standard office equipment including: a computer, keyboard, and telephone



  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff, residents, families, service providers, and others



  • Ability to remain calm and composed under stress



  • Ability to respond to telephones and other auditory stimulations



  • Ability to evaluate/interpret information and make independent judgment/decisions
