Are you up for challenges? CAES is looking for a Team Player to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment at the Lancaster facility. The Health, Safety and Environmental Intern will assist and participate in the coordination, development, maintenance, and training of Health, Safety and Environmental programs.


Responsibilities

YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Assist in chemical inventory, auditing chemicals and updating SDS Library
* Assist the EHS Site Lead in conducting inspections and audits
* Assist in collecting and tracking EHS data in cloud based system
* Assist in developing training related to site ergonomic improvement and other integration projects
* Support EHS training and new hire orientations for one or more of the following: lock out / tag out (LOTO), fire prevention, hazard communications, confined space entry, BBP, EHS policies and procedures, or other training programs
* Assist in safety incident investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective action
* Assist in coordinate hazardous and non-hazardous waste storage, handling, and disposal
* Learn what and how to track Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) for safety, quality, production, efficiency, and service requirements
* Learn and follow practices and processes intended to provide safe products that comply with appropriate laws and regulations, meet the company quality standards
* Collaborate with all departments to ensure safety procedures are integrated into business processes
* Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment.
* Performs other duties as assigned to support business goals and objectives

Qualifications

Required:

  • Matriculated student seeking a Bachelor's degree.
  • Prior intern experience
  • Previous experience with an ERP system
  • Open to students heading into their Senior year, or May graduates
  • This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a US Person under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance

Preferred:

  • Previous experience with SAP, IFS
  • Previous experience with Velocity EHS

Salary Range: $23.00- $28.00 hourly. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well business results.
