Job Overview
We are currently looking for a Director of Human Resources Business Partners to join our team in Holland, MI at the Haworth Global Corporate Headquarters. As a Director of Human Resources Business Partners, you will:
Provide leadership and direction through managers, ensuring the performance and results of the HR area align with strategic goals. You will execute business plans, develop functional strategies, and ensure HR programs comply with regulations, company policies, and cultural values. Additionally, you will lead global engagement initiatives to support corporate and departmental goals, fostering organizational capability and member engagement.
Required Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, industrial relations or equivalent.
- Education Equivalency:
- Associate's degree in business administration, management, industrial relations or equivalent plus 2 years related experience or,
- High school diploma plus 4 years of related experience.
Work Experience:
- 10 years experience in increasingly responsible management position(s) with a Bachelor's degree or 7 years experience in increasingly responsible management position(s) with a Master's degree.
- 5 years of supervisory experience.

Essential Functions
- Lead and direct multiple HR functions: Directs corporate member relations function at all Haworth NA departments, manufacturing sites, and field sales offices to ensure fair and consistent interpretation of past practice and company policies and procedures. Serves as leader to HR Business Partners and other leaders on member relations issues to ensure sound HR management and business support.
- Develop and implement HR strategy: Develops and implements engagement and retention strategies, including use of training, communications, engagement surveys, sensing sessions, and reward and recognition systems, to ensure optimal member engagement and retention.
- Provide strategic HR guidance:Provide strategic HR guidance and counsel to senior leadership, influencing business decisions, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations.Oversee and ensure employee relations issues are addressed fairly and effectively.
- Manage HR budget and resources:Manage the Human Resource Business Partner's budget, allocate resources strategically, and track return on investment (ROI) for HR initiatives.
- Risk Mitigation: Responsible for coordination of member relations related legal matters and unemployment insurance matters to mitigate organizational risk. Manages work and cost related to use of external legal counsel for related matters.
- Represent HR at the executive level:Represent the HR function at the executive level, communicating HR strategy and impact.
- Must be able to perform all essential job function with/without accommodation.
- Uses office automation, communication, software, and tools used in Haworth office environment.
- Performs other duties within scope as assigned.
