To achieve our ambitious mission, we are modernizing our Marketing department with digital marketing transformation to improve brand reach, customer targeting, personalization, and overall efficiency in the marketing delivery model. You will be part of an agile, growing team to optimize Salesforce Marketing Cloud to drive growth and retention, as well as to optimize and expand member and provider communications through other campaign modalities.

As an Editorial Associate, you will support the Communications team by assisting in content creation, design, metrics tracking and administrative tasks. Your role will be essential in ensuring the timely delivery of engaging content and continuous improvement of communication strategies. Occasionally, you'll also attend events to capture photo and/or video content for use in newsletters and social media.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Content Support: Assist in writing, editing, and distributing content to our own MetroPlusHealth teammates and external stakeholders (e.g., newsletters, articles for intranet, corporate announcements, SMS messages, presentations, speeches, etc.)
  • Graphic Design: Help create dynamic graphics for visual communication tools. Experience with Canva is preferred.
  • Metrics Monitoring: Support evaluation efforts by gathering data on engagement metrics for SMS, email and internal communications software. Develop actionable insights to optimize communication strategies.
  • Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Research and recommend emerging tools and strategies to improve content delivery and enhance employee engagement.
  • Administrative Tasks: Manage project tracking, update and maintain distribution lists, and coordinate communication calendars.
  • Event Content Creation: Attend local events as needed to capture photo and/or video content using a smartphone for use in newsletters, internal communications, and social media posts (estimated 1-2x/month).
  • Editing and Quality Assurance: Perform proofreading, fact-checking, and formatting tasks to ensure the accuracy and consistency of all written materials.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with organizational branding and messaging.
Minimum Qualifications
  • BA or BS in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in communications, editorial, or administrative role.
  • Familiarity with content management systems (e.g., Monday) and email platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.).
  • Experience with Canva or other design tools is preferred. Basic proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign) is a plus.
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
