Description

As the Salesforce Business Systems Manager, you will be a strategic leader, driving the overall management, optimization, and innovation of the organization's Salesforce platform. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the Salesforce strategy, aligning business objectives with technical solutions, and leading initiatives that maximize value for the company. In addition to hands-on management, you will mentor team members, spearhead projects, and serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders, Information Services and the SyteLine (ERP) team.

Reporting to the Chief Information, this position is based in The Woodlands, Texas. Hybrid work arrangements may be considered, though in-office collaboration with stakeholders and leadership is expected. Quarterly domestic and international travel may also be required.

Relocation to The Woodlands, Texas, is possible. Legal authorization to work in the United States are prerequisites for this role. At this time, sponsorship is not available.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership



  • Develop and implement a comprehensive Salesforce strategy to align with company goals and growth initiatives, in a multi-site environment.
  • Serve as a trusted technology advisor to senior leadership and key stakeholders, providing guidance on Salesforce best practices and innovative solutions.
  • Oversee Salesforce platform governance, ensuring cross-functional alignment, proper usage, and adherence to corporate standards.


Project Management and Execution



  • Lead the planning, prioritization, design, development, and deployment of Salesforce projects and enhancements, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
  • Oversee multi-functional and cross-system dependencies, identifying risks, and mitigating challenges to ensure seamless system integrations.
  • Adherence to supporting Infor SyteLine, as our system of record is essential in all instances of cross-application data sharing.
  • Manage change management processes, including user adoption, training, and support strategies for successful rollouts.


Team Leadership and Collaboration



  • Mentor and manage a team including a Salesforce administrators, external developers to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.
  • Foster strong relationships with business units, partnering to gather and define requirements, translate them into actionable plans, and drive system improvements.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for Salesforce-related inquiries, prioritizing competing demands and maintaining a robust support framework.


Operational Excellence



  • Ensure the health, efficiency, and effectiveness of the Salesforce ecosystem by proactively managing system performance, data integrity, and scalability.
  • Develop and enforce Salesforce governance policies, ensuring the system meets security, compliance, and operational standards.
  • Conduct regular system reviews, audits, and updates to maintain alignment with evolving business and technical requirements.
  • Support annual license audits to ensure effective license usage and appropriate permission structures.


Continuous Improvement



  • Identify and implement process optimizations and automation opportunities to drive efficiency and business value.
  • Stay informed of Salesforce releases, emerging technologies, and industry trends, applying relevant insights to improve the platform.


And other duties as identified by the direct manager.


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications



  • 12+ years of experience in business systems management, with at least 8 years of hands on Salesforce experience.
  • Proven track record of managing CRM platforms at scale, including design, development, and governance.
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Business, Engineering, or a related field.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Salesforce Administrator and Advanced Administrator Certifications (required).
  • Salesforce Business Analyst and Salesforce Sales Cloud Consultant Certifications (preferred).
  • Strong background in agile project management methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and cross-functional teams simultaneously.
  • Experience with ERP systems and database management concepts is a plus.
  • Multilingual proficiency in Spanish, Portuguese, or French is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with scientific instrumentation or related industries is a plus.


Additional Requirements



  • Availability for domestic and international travel.
  • A valid passport is required for international travel.
