Compliance Specialist

Equiliem is an award-winning recruiting firm headquartered in East Brunswick, NJ. We are on an exciting trajectory of growth that has put us in the position to seek a Compliance Specialist for our Quality Assurance team. This role will be responsible for ensuring that Equiliem is adhering to the compliance standards and compliance requirements of its Clients during the onboarding process.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Performs second-level by evaluating data and documents to ensure accuracy in applicant tracking system of newly hired candidate.
  • Analyze onboarding documentation to ensure compliance with the requirements of the client including but not limited to the background check, drug test, client agreements, client medical requirements, verification of certifications/licenses, etc.
  • Document and escalate identified onboarding errors, compliance issues, and concerns to the appropriate teams
  • Provide monthly reporting regarding compliance activities identifying trends and compliance issues
  • Serve as an escalation point when attempts to resolve outstanding compliance issues have been exhausted
  • Ensure Equiliem maintains good standing regarding its Joint Commission Certification by ensuring the Joint Commission website is up to date and compliant.
  • Ensure Equiliem retains its Health Care Staffing Services (HCSS) Certification by validating employee certifications, licenses, medical documentation, etc. for adherence to the Joint Commission Certification, Equiliem, and state requirements.
  • Manage, track and ensure certifications and licenses are not expired throughout the duration of a candidate's assignment
  • Perform other auditing duties as required


Background We are Seeking

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Proven experience in a compliance role
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess risks and develop effective compliance strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with various stakeholders.


  • Ability to work independently, make decisions, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized with the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
