The Leonardo DRS Naval Electronics business provides leading naval computing infrastructure, network and data distribution and middleware enterprise services, as well as world-class manufacturing and support capabilities.

Overall Summary

Our Leonardo DRS Naval Electronics group is looking to grow our RF Systems Line of Business. To support this initiative, we're looking for an experienced and highly driven Business Development Manager to join our team!

This position will develop and conduct the evaluation and implementation of new initiatives and business opportunities for our RF Line of Business.

Primary & Essential Accountabilities
  • Develop and conduct the evaluation and implementation of new initiatives and business opportunities for the Company under direction of the senior business development leader or site leader
  • Provide strategic and tactical input to the business leader by evaluating new initiatives and business opportunities
  • Conduct market analysis, and competitive activity
  • Identify and explore customer needs
  • Provide assistance in the planning, designing, and implementing of business plans
  • Assist with the follow through and deployment of the Company's vision, strategies, and tactics
  • Coordinate and facilitate activities and commitments with other departments and/or functions
  • Develop and track project schedules
  • Participate/coordinate in strategic alliances and other external business relationships
Secondary Accountabilities
  • Make presentations on Company portfolio of products and services
  • Attend business meetings as requested
  • Attend trade shows
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or engineering or related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, written and presentation communication skills
  • Planning and organization, project management, and time management skills
  • Ability to work on complex problems
  • Knowledge of Company products, markets and technology
  • Experience with Radio Frequency (RF) technologies
  • Experience with Radar systems and solutions preferred
  • Experience in a DoD environment preferred
  • Strong analytical and financial skills
  • Salesforce experience preferred
  • Ability to support domestic travel - up to 50%

U.S. Citizenship required. This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.

The expected pay scale for this position is $100,000/year - $175,000/year. Should the level, location, or scope of the position change during the hiring process, the pay scale may be modified accordingly. When extending an offer of employment, Leonardo DRS considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position; any Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, the candidate's relevant work experience, education/training, certifications, and key skills; internal equity; and market and business considerations.
