Casual CNA Training Instructor

The CNA Training Instructor will provide instruction for the Nursing Assistant Program. This position is responsible for teaching in person classroom content along with hands on clinical experiences. This position is responsible for providing clinical education, competency, and evaluation to nurse aide students in the class at the site.

The targeted pay range for this job is $38 - $45 per hour.

Essential Job Responsibilities:



  1. Partners with sites leaders and clinical education team to provides on-site CNA course instruction to students following the provided MN State Nurses Aide curriculum.
  2. Ensures compliance and adherence to regulations and all related policies, procedures and guidelines as it relates to clinical education.
  3. Provides educational leadership to students to ensure patient/resident care is within established clinical protocols. Provide hands on training, mentorship, and competency reviews for students.
  4. Maintains accurate records on all students and submits in a timely manner, meeting required deadlines.
  5. Engages in regular communication with students and site leadership. Cultivates interest in students in pursuing careers with Ecumen after program completion.


CNA Training Instructor Minimum Required Qualifications:



  • Graduate from an accredited Registered Nursing program
  • Must be a Registered Nurse within the state in which working and must maintain licensure.
  • 2 years of nursing experience, at least 1 year of which must be in the provision of long-term care facility services
  • Successful completion of Minnesota State Train the Trainer for Nursing Assistant Instructors
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbal and written
  • Must be able to work independently and must be a self-starter
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to follow all safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the facility including but not limited to: Vulnerable Adult and Abuse Policy, HIPAA, Resident's Bill of Rights, Universal Precaution, AWAIR, OSHA, Right to know, SDS, ADA, HUD Policy and Procedures, Fair Housing laws and regulations


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience with clinical teaching in post-secondary environment
  • Previous experience providing care to seniors.
