As the Senior Analyst, Data Analytics and Business Intelligence, you will be involved in modeling and design of optimal business and analytical solutions in addition to process definitions, stakeholder requirements gathering, and user acceptance testing. You will partner with various teams including operations planning and analytics, account management, accounting, order-to-cash, FP&A, pricing, procurement, contract management, IT, and others to build and maintain complex descriptive and prescriptive analytical solutions using advanced data tools and techniques.You will interact with GXO data lake and data warehouses to analyze and build data solutions and create actionable insights around contracts, billing & payments, procurement, ERP and WMS databases, and various BI products. You will be responsible for updates to the finance canonical models in the data lake to support revenue calculations and provide support to end users of the canonical model.

What you'll do on a typical day:

  • Leverage data from various data sources including data lake, Oracle databases, ERP, WMS and internal tools (like Excel or other data management systems) to build advanced data products
  • Collaborate with and manage stakeholders across processes, facilities, locations, units, and levels to gain an understanding of business objectives, facilitate defining measurement solutions and implement business processes and techniques that drive performance
  • Partner with and influence other teams such as account management, operations support, IT for alignment and discrepancy prevention.
  • Identify and analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to improve existing processes
  • Support business initiatives through data analysis, identification of implementation barriers and user acceptance testing of various systems
  • Participate in building and maintaining BI dashboards, automated and self-service tools, and educating end users as well as other business analysts.
  • Ongoing support of finance canonical model to reflect current contractual terms
  • Lead process of onboarding new sites and clients into the finance canonical model

What you need to succeed at GXO:

At a minimum, you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
  • Strong facilitation skills and process-driven analytical skills
  • 5+ years' experience with a proven record of success in business process analysis and process improvement initiatives
  • 5+ years of experience in building financial and operational models, reports, tools, and datasets
  • Advanced analytical skills and experience with data science tools including SQL, Python/R, as well as Excel, Power BI, and Power Query
  • Proven ability to work autonomously as well as establish effective work relationship a matrix organization

It'd be great if you also have:

  • Project Management and Lean Six Sigma belt certification
  • Strong understanding of warehousing processes and WMS systems
  • Skillful with platforms such as Snowflake or GCP
  • 3+ years work experience with various departments and multi-functional projects
  • MBA or master's degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
