They will be responsible for operational support of wired and wireless network, as well as assisting with a project to migrate off of Cisco to Teams. Required Tech Stack: oCisco Route/Switch oSDWAN (Velo) - vendor owns, so just knowledge of SDWAN oWireless (Extreme) oMeraki - Firewalls oZebra Scanners and Label Printers (preferably from manufacturing or distribution sectors) oCloud Job Summary The Network Engineer is a member of the network engineering team responsible for analyzing, planning, designing, implementing, and maintaining the company's computer networks and related voice, video, and data electronic systems and applications. Job Description 1.Analysis, Design and Development Analyzes system workloads including traffic and utilization trends. Identifies and recommends adjustments or improvements. Participates in the maintenance of network services such as DNS, DHCP, IP routing, and IPP network administration. Designs, specifies, and documents LAN configurations according to user needs, using outside support resources as appropriate. Participates in the maintenance of telephony and voicemail systems. Participates in the maintenance of network hardware and software configurations Evaluates application software packages against user requirements and makes appropriate recommendations relating to network performance. Cisco/Meraki Route/Switch/Firewall Designs, specifies, and documents Wireless Access Points Understanding of how Zebra/Android RF Devices interact with Wireless Networks. SDWAN (we use Velo) Maintains a current knowledge of relevant technologies. 2.Quality Control Understands the need for and benefits of quality assurance processes Establishes standards and maintains performance evaluation criteria for recommended network hardware and software components. Establishes domain policies and active directory configuration Establishes adequate test environments Creates detailed test plans Performs testing of the disaster recovery system Performs WAN troubleshooting, maintenance, and routing support. Develops and executes comprehensive unit test plans Provides technical support as needed to resolve issues. 3.Security Control Performs all security administration functions for all network environments Performs Sarbanes-Oxley key control security audits and reviews findings with management Develops, implements, and monitors appropriate security procedures to safeguard networks from unauthorized users Reviews security settings for all network environments on a quarterly basis with various internal groups Additional Skills & Qualifications* Assertive/Ownership Good Communication: will be working with various teams and vendors Strong Documentation Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $60.00/hr.
