In September, Sonoco announced it is performing a strategic review of the Thermoforming Flexible Packaging (TFP) business unit. In order to support a newly formed global packaging company with annual revenues exceeding $1 billion, we are seeking an Hourly Recruiting Partner - Talent Acquisition that be responsible for securing hourly talent for the business unit.

While reporting to the Director, Human Resources - TFP you will be responsible for providing leadership and guidance in hourly talent acquisition. You will ensure that staffing efforts and projects are consistent with overall business direction of Thermoformed & Flexible Packaging Division and his/her customers. You will also be responsible for attracting hourly, recruiting, and hiring candidates who are highly qualified in the least amount of time using cost effective methods.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Responsible for determining and defining the recruiting strategy, sourcing qualified candidates, screening resumes, interviewing, assessing candidates, preparing offers.
  • Also responsible for Request To Hire Review, job posting, ad placement and direct sourcing efforts including job fairs, college recruiting and web-based mining.
  • Provide advise and counsel, as needed, and influence management to yield positive results.
  • Must ensure efforts meet legal and corporate compliance requirements as a well as the business activities.
  • Develop and coordinate print and internet advertising strategies, diversity and professional recruiting processes, employee referral programs, Intern/Summer Work/Co-op/Trainee programs and the collection of maintenance of employment metrics.
  • Develop and implement tools and processes to improve cost effectiveness by optimizing recruiting strategies.

This position will be located out of our Charlotte, NC office or Chicagoland, IL Area. Will consider other markets for remote work for the right candidate.

We'd love to hear from you if:

  • You have a Bachelors degree.
  • You have 3-5 years of experience in talent acquisition and electronic applicant flow/tracking systems - Workday highly preferred

Compensation:

Talent Acquisition Recruiting Partner II - The annual base salary range for this role is from $65,440 to $73,620.
