The Student Services Coordinator in the School of Pharmacy participates in the development, promotion, operation, and evaluation of student services programs. A thorough knowledge of program requirements, goals, and procedures is continuously applied in performing assigned duties.

Essential functions:
*Performs a wide variety of paraprofessional staff duties related to the coordination and production of student events and event planning (graduation, white coat ceremony, etc), programs, publications, special services, and other related functions.
*Coordinates and administers program activities such as course registration, program documentation, information sessions, and graduation processing.
*Participates in the scheduling of classes and maintaining multiple academic calendars.
*An understanding of FERPA as well the ability to be discrete and keep the information confidential.
*Demonstrate sensitivity to the needs and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural ethnic backgrounds and physical and learning abilities of students.
*Prepares materials and participates in and oversees the dissemination of information regarding the school's policies, programs, and student services.
*Provides guidance and advice to students, student organizations and other student groups.
*Provides external referrals, which may include short-term counseling or crisis intervention.
*Counsels and confers with students providing academic guidance, problem solving and resolution.
*Recognizes and responds to warning signs, such as sudden changes in grades or attendance.
*Meets with students to promote resources regarding, wellness, stressors, study skills, time management, academic and professional goals.
*Participates in the maintenance of student services files and records.
*Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with students, faculty, administrators, and classified staff.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience:
BS degree in a related field and at least three (3) years related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
