JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Manager, Data Strategy & Administration, plays a crucial role in guiding the company's use of data to drive commercial effectiveness, innovation, and operational efficiency. This individual will be responsible for managing projects, leading change efforts, defining KPIs, and ensuring that data initiatives support the objectives of the Insights & Analytics team along with cross-functional stakeholders.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

* Develop and Implement Data Strategy: Develop a comprehensive data strategy that aligns with the Commercial team's business strategy, including the evaluation and management of key data sources, data transformation and integration processes and the development of a commercial data roadmap.

* Establish Data Governance Frameworks: Develop and enforce data governance policies to ensure data integrity, quality, and security.

* Oversee Data Management: Supervise the management of data for the Insights & Analytics function, including acquisition, migration, storage, maintenance, and disposal. Monitor and improve the quality of data to ensure it is reliable and fit for use.

* Establish Customer Data Mastering Process: Drive the integration of unique customer data contained in Salesforce.com with customer data from other sources to establish customer master records that provide a more holistic view of the customer and support deeper customer engagement.

* Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with various departments such as sales, marketing, customer operations and finance, to understand their data needs and challenges and help formulate data driven insights.

* Advocate for Data-Driven Culture: Promote a culture where data-driven decision-making is the norm and where data is recognized as a critical asset.

* Vendor and Partnership Management: Manage and provide direction to cross-functional partners and vendors managing the data warehouse, master data management (MDM), and data and analytics ecosystem.

* Drive Digital Transformation: Lead initiatives that utilize data to transform business processes and create competitive advantage.

* Identify and Leverage New Technologies: Stay abreast of the latest technologies and trends in data management and analytics (e.g., AI, machine learning), assessing their potential impact and applicability to the Commercial team.

* Lead Data-Related Projects: Oversee the planning and execution of key data-related projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.

* Regulatory Compliance and Ethics: Ensure that data practices comply with relevant regulations and promote the ethical use of data.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS

* Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, information technology or a related field is required. Advanced degree in data science, business administration, or a related life sciences discipline is favorable.

* 5+ years of biotech or pharma experience in IT, analytics, and/or data management.

* Strong understanding of data management principles, including data sourcing, storage, transformation, quality, and lifecycle management.

* Experience with MDM concepts and platforms and SQL-based data warehouse design.

* Working knowledge of commercial and corporate data sources and tools (e.g., Salesforce, SAP, Veeva).

* Experience with Tableau and/or other BI tools.

* Demonstrated success directing and managing external vendors.

* Demonstrated success working in a cross-functional environment and across geographies.

* Excellent project management skills, including the ability to lead in an environment with multiple cross-functional stakeholders and evolving priorities.

* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements and the ability to communicate complex technology concepts to commercial end-users in a manner that is easily understood and aligned to business objectives.

U.S. Base Pay Ranges and Benefits Information

The estimated annual base salary as a new hire for this position ranges from $155,500 to $188,200. Individual base pay depends on various factors such as applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location. Certain roles are eligible for additional incentive compensation, including merit increases, annual bonus, [and/or long-term incentives in the form of stock options.]
