The Program on Constitutionalism and Democracy (PCD) in the Department of Politics at the University of Virginia invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate and lecturer position. PCD is a program situated within the Politics Department that provides undergraduate students with an opportunity to pursue intensive study of American political history, development, and institutions. Postdoctoral Research Associates will conduct their own research, participate in PCD programming, and teach one undergraduate course per semester, either "The American Political Tradition" (PLAP 2250) or "American Political Economy" (PLAP 3500). ` Qualified candidates must have received a PhDprior to the anticipated July 25, 2025 start date. The initial appointment is for one year; however, the appointment may be renewed for an additional year contingent on available funding and excellent performance. Minimum Requirements Preferred Qualifications A background in political theory and/or American political development. Anticipated Salary: $55,000 and includes UVA Benefits.
