Job purpose:



  • The business uses proprietary internal audit methods to independently check processes (quality management system) and product (technical or development achievement) and this job's purpose is to routinely administer the audit programs and individual audits, train auditor/auditees, and lead/support improvement activities (analysis, digital innovation, clarify importance of proper work, implications of failure, etc.) which contributes to quality assurance of automobile development outputs, qualities of the Honda organization, and proof of quality as a risk management system for corporate governance.


Key Accountabilities:



  • Administrator of Internal Audit programs (lead and manage as administrator the checking of processes generating results and/or confirmation of development achievement, support related improvement activities, etc.).
  • Standardization (when appropriate, help others standardize the work to assure quality, increase awareness of changes, set audit items, plan job rotation needs, request others to assign personnel to become auditors, do training, etc. to complete both routine work and strategic planning).
  • Innovation in Digital Development Quality (feed knowledge to artificial intelligence or business intelligence systems, and help others apply that cutting-edge technology to routine work to help our customers and Honda personnel).
  • Coordinate automobile development technical confirmation program. Align global schedules and resources for technical events. Document and maintain official development confirmation records and procedures in both English and Japanese language. Maintain the supporting websites (access control, content creation and continuous improvement for efficiency and ease of use for global users).


Workstyle:



  • Hybrid: At least 3 days per workweek at the aforementioned Honda corporate office location.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:



  • Minimum educational qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering.
  • Minimum professional experience:2-6 years of related experience, based on education.


Other job-specific skills:



  • Experience administering internal audit, such as internal quality/QMS audit, product development audit such as technical evaluation, or business performance audit.
  • Problem-solving using Japanese-style quality control methods and/or systems thinking methods for complex items
  • Organizational Leadership
  • Office 365 Software Tools
  • Strong communication skills. Must be proficient in English

    • Highly desirable: Ability to converse inJapanese
