Job Summary: The Academic Advisor II provides guidance to University students on academic progress, courses, University resources, etc. Identifies courses to be completed in upcoming semesters. Explains University and College policies. Provides guidance and trains entry-level advisors. May teach compass course as needed. Additional Department Summary: Provides one-on-one advising for graduate nursing students in the Masters Entry into the Profession of Nursing as well as all graduate programs each semester in collaboration with the Director of Graduate Student Services. Assists with securing and managing clinical affiliation agreements for all graduate programs in collaboration with the Graduate Clinical Site Specialist. Supports administration of the graduate programs. Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of academic advising experience; OR master's degree and some academic advising experience. Skills and Knowledge: Excellent written and verbal communication, planning, coordinating, interpersonal, organizational, computer, and proofreading skills. Basic math skills. Ability to think critically and solve high-level problems. Ability to read and interpret policies and procedures. In-depth knowledge of Excel and Qualtrics software programs. Preferred Qualifications: Masters degree in Nursing, Education, Adult Education, Communications, or related field.
