Schedule: 4 days onsite 1 day from home

Requirements:
Ideally 2-5 years of experience
Huge asset if the candidate has experience with Blue Cherry
Must come from apparel or luxury goods industry

Overview: We are seeking a detailed-oriented and proactive Chargeback Analyst to join our Finance team within the fashion industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and analyzing chargebacks, collaborating with internal teams, and ensuring that the company's financial records are accurate and up-to-date. This position requires a solid understanding of financial transactions and the retail fashion landscape, along with the ability to handle high volumes of chargeback claims efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Chargeback Management:
    • Review and analyze chargeback claims received from clients, distributors, and retailers.
    • Investigate chargeback reasons, identifying discrepancies and determining whether chargebacks are valid.
    • Collaborate with customer service, sales, and logistics teams to resolve issues and prevent future chargebacks.
  • Financial Reconciliation:
    • Ensure chargebacks are accurately recorded and reconciled in the company's financial system.
    • Track and report on chargeback trends and provide insights into recurring issues.
    • Dispute Resolution:
      • Liaise with external partners (such as retailers or third-party vendors) to address chargeback disputes and negotiate resolution when needed.
      • Prepare documentation and supporting evidence for disputed chargebacks and work with the legal team as necessary.
      • Data Analysis & Reporting:
        • Maintain detailed records of all chargeback transactions, creating reports for management on chargeback trends and financial impact.
        • Suggest process improvements to minimize chargebacks and ensure accurate billing.
        • Process Improvement:
          • Analyze and identify root causes of chargebacks and work to develop preventive strategies.
          • Partner with the product, sales, and operations teams to enhance internal controls and reduce chargeback occurrences.
          • Customer Support:
            • Work closely with customer support teams to ensure that chargeback procedures align with customer service goals.

              Qualifications:

              • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
              • Proven experience as a chargeback analyst or in a similar role, preferably in the fashion or retail industry.
              • Strong understanding of chargeback processes and financial reconciliation.
              • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
              • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
              • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with ERP or chargeback management software is a plus.
              • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments.
