Job Description Johnson County's Department of Technology and Innovation is looking for a Network Administrator (Network Communication Analyst II). The Department of Technology and Innovation delivers innovative and reliable technology solutions and services to advance the objectives of County staff, elected officials, and the community in a cost effective and efficient manner. First review of applications will begin on March 1, 2025. The Network Administrator position is responsible for the following:
Assists in the planning of network size, capacity, strategy, and equipment configuration; provides support for network and/or telecommunication functions; provides feedback on communication solutions for business problems within network/telecommunication environment.
Job Requirements Associate's degree in the following field(s) of study: Information Technology or relevant field and two (2) years of network administration or relevant experience including working with users to verify and troubleshoot network switching and routing issues is required. Preference will be given to candidates who have a strong working knowledge of and experience with monitoring, troubleshooting and configuring Cisco networking equipment. Experience can substitute for education. Education can substitute for experience. Johnson County Government requires reference/background screening for all positions.
