Overview

Primary Purpose

IRCAD North America serves as a surgical training and innovation facility requiring many audio-visual capabilities to livestream broadcast to and from the organization worldwide. This role is responsible for overseeing the audio-visual and information technology needs of IRCAD North America, ensuring the smooth operation of all systems, networks, software, and hardware. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and a strategic mindset to align A/V and IT initiatives with overall business objectives.

Major Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise an AV/IT tech team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations; manage and oversee all audio-visual operations for IRCAD North America ensuring smooth functionality and connectivity of all equipment and software
  • Provide all livestream broadcasting support and ensure seamless connectivity; provide hands-on troubleshooting support as needed
  • Provide in-person, hands-on support for all audio-visual activities or oversee teammates who will perform this function
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the security and integrity of company data and systems
  • Oversee the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade and support of all A/V and IT systems including servers, PCs, operating systems, software applications and peripherals
  • Manage network infrastructure including LAN, WAN, VPN, routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless implementations
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders internally and externally to ensure compatibility of networks for connectivity for livestream broadcasting
  • Manage financials including budget development, accounting, and oversight
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies and software products to improve productivity and efficiency; monitor performance of audio-visual and information technology systems to determine cost and productivity levels and to make recommendations for improvement
  • Partner with leadership to manage cybersecurity risks and ensure ongoing practices are consistent with cyber-insurance requirements
  • Maintain a high level of service for A/V and IT technical issues

Minimum Job Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Certification / Registration / License

Work Experience: Proven experience (7+ years) in A/V or IT. Strong technical knowledge in areas such as networking, security, databases, cloud technologies, and IT infrastructure. Expertise in audio-visual, livestream broadcasting preferred. Experience in surgical integration of audio-visual systems preferred.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

Must be able to work quickly under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects at once. Excellent written and verbal skills required. Ability to set clear goals and execute projects from start to finish.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

Works primarily in office environment. Scheduled evening and weekend work on occasion. Position requires walking around campus and/or other facilities. Must be able to drive and have access/use of a personal vehicle. Requires reading materials, speaking clearly on the telephone, and operating computer keyboard. Occasional lifting of documents or supplies.
