Surety Account Executive Lead - Commercial Insurance

SUMMARY

Primary client servicing advocate for assigned accounts with additional responsibilities to develop new clients and support Unit Manager in executing performance plans to develop team staff to achieve departmental and corporate goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Manages overall client relationship to maintain high account retention rate;
* Services accounts and provides claims assistance as needed;
* Responsible for renewal process on existing business;
* Evaluates assigned surety client to identify risk exposures or deficiencies and develops innovative solutions in support of retaining existing business and new business growth;
* Develops a marketing strategy for clients including the compilation of the submission items, financial analysis, capacity analysis, matching the surety to the client, rates, program terms to successfully place client business;
* Maintains a strong knowledge of surety market conditions and keeps the Client and/or the Producer apprised of new product offerings, coverages, and marketing trends;
* Identifies cross-sell opportunities and solicitation of other lines of business;
* Meets with clients as needed or directed;
* Serves as a technical expert, assisting department members to resolve complex issues and provide seamless service to clients;
* Provides mentoring, coaching and development of department members in concert with Unit Manager and department performance goals;
* Assists Unit Manager in maintaining department compliance with surety companies and corporate compliance procedures and requirements;
* Collection of fees, reconciliation and resolution of any outstanding balances within 90 days of invoicing date;
* Complies with agency management system data standards and data integrity (enters and maintains complete and accurate information);
* Performs all duties in accordance with all company policies and procedures, and all federal, state and local laws, wherein the Company operates;
* Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ten (10) or more years related work experience
AFSB or CPCU Designations or working toward designation
Must continue to meet Continuing Education requirements for license renewal
Valid insurance license

Ability to work within a team and to foster teamwork
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, EPIC, and Surepath a plus
