What you'll do

We are looking for a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of our products, particularly within Oracle HCM applications. This role involves testing, analyzing, and reporting on software functionality to help deliver high-quality solutions.

The Independent Contractor - Corporate Applications Quality Assurance Senior Analyst - People is a fulltime contract role with a preferred location in Southfield, MI (with consideration for Dallas, TX) and reports to the Oracle Systems Manager. Assignment is expected to run through 2025, potentially into 2026. MUST BE CURRENTLY AUTHORIZED TO WORK IN THE UNITED STATES. NO VISA OR IMMIGRATION SPONSORSHIP FOR THIS ROLE, NOW OR IN THE FUTURE. (e.g., H-1B, STEM OPT, TN, etc.)



  • Execute test plans and test cases for Oracle HCM applications.
  • Identify, document, and track defects using appropriate tools.
  • Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand requirements and provide feedback.
  • Conduct regression testing, conduct and coordinate quarterly Oracle upgrade testing and assist in the development of automated test scripts.
  • Analyze test results and provide detailed reports on findings.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance QA processes.

What you'll need



  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in Quality Assurance or software testing highly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education.
  • Familiarity with QA methodologies and testing tools.
  • Basic knowledge of automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium).
  • Basic Knowledge of HR processes will be a plus
  • Understanding of Oracle or other HCM applications and their functionalities.
  • Ability to gather and analyze requirements, and translate them into test cases.
  • Excellent documentation skills to document test strategies and be able to present them to obtain sign-offs
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Must work full-time and primarily out of the Southfield, MI, or Dallas, TX office.
  • Core working hours are generally 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM, Monday - Friday; willingness to work outside of normal U.S. business hours, and as unique projects/needs arise.
  • Ability to work full time in an office and remote environment; physically able to sit/stand at a computer and work in front of a computer screen for significant portions of the workday.
