Job Description
ECU Department of Campus Recreation and Wellness is currently seeking several passionate and engaging Social Media Influencers to represent and promote gambling awareness initiatives. As a trusted voice for ECU's Pirate community, you will create compelling, informative, and relatable content that educates peers about gambling, wellness initiatives, and available support resources.

The ideal candidates are storytellers with a strong presence on social media platforms and a genuine passion for promoting well-being and health education.
Position Scope: As a Well-Being Social Media Influencer, you will:

  • Use your social media savvy to promote wellness initiatives and program area research projects.
  • Create compelling content that encourages student participation and awareness.
  • Serve as a key player in enhancing our community's health and well-being through strategic social media campaigns.
  • Work closely with grant managers and other stakeholders to align content with program objectives.
  • Host live events, Q&A sessions, or collaborations with other stakeholders to discuss gambling awareness topics and wellness initiatives.
  • Stay updated on social media trends to craft content that resonates with ECU students.

  • Empathy and Authenticity: Ability to connect with audiences and discuss sensitive topics in an approachable manner.


Pay Rate:
  • $11 per hour, with $12 per hour available for those with advanced content creation skills.
Preferred (Majors, Experience, GPA, etc.)
Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be currently enrolled as a student at the university.
  • Strong presence and proficiency with social media platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook.
  • Excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for promoting wellness.
