Overview

We are currently seeking a Staff Accountant II or III with 3+ years of experience to be part of Streamline Technologies in our Winter Springs, FL office.

We seek a highly motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant II or III to join our Business Operations Team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining our organization's financial health by managing key accounting processes, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards. This role allows collaboration with the broader Finance Team to facilitate work-flows, enhance reporting accuracy, and support strategic decision-making. The candidate's initial focus will be mastering our financial systems and understanding our accounting practices comprehensively.

Streamline Technologies, Inc. is a software development firm located in the Orlando area of Central Florida specializing in water resources engineering applications. Our philosophy and reputation are built on providing innovative software solutions such as the widely used hydrodynamic stormwater model, StormWise (formerly Icpr4). Our stormwater and flood forecasting models include complex mathematical models that simulate the rainfall-runoff process, drainage systems, flooding and flood forecasting, groundwater flow, water quality impacts, and green stormwater infrastructure.

Responsibilities

    Processing and maintaining accounting system for financial transactions
  • Prepare monthly journal entries and manage the company's general ledger
  • Reconcile bank accounts
  • Create and retain balance sheet work-papers
  • Preparation of financial statements on a monthly and annual basis
  • Ability to interact with external audit firm


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • 3 or more years' proven experience with QuickBooks (Sage or NetSuite) ERP system/software and an in-depth understanding of accounting principles.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, work independently, multitask, and know when to seek manager's guidance
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and identify trends.
  • Comfortable speaking to others via phone, Zoom, or Microsoft Teams
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Expertise with QuickBooks ERP
  • Experience in an audit environment.
