Greenleaf Behavioral Health located in Valdosta, GA is a highly respected psychiatric hospital and behavioral health treatment center that offers comprehensive mental and behavioral health services to adolescents and adults. License preferred but not required LCSW, LPC, LMSW, LAPC, or LMFT.

Greenleaf Behavioral Health Hospital is Valdosta's leading psychiatric hospital & treatment center for adolescents & adults. Our 113-bed facility offers inpatient hospitalization, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programming for adolescents, teens, and adults struggling with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, behavioral issues, and other mental health illnesses.

As a Therapist, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating mental and emotional disorders, whether cognitive, affective, or behavioral. You'll work directly with patients and as part of an experienced team, applying psychotherapeutic theories and techniques in order to treat diagnosed disorders in our patients.

RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Apply psychotherapeutic techniques and interventions in the delivery of services to individuals and families for the purpose of treating such diagnosed emotional and mental disorders.
  • Conduct individual, group or family therapy as appropriate for the treatment plan of the patient.
  • Conduct a psychosocial assessment and develop an initial discharge plan.
  • Provide initial treatment planning for patient based on assessment and coordinate any additional services needed and revise as necessary.
  • Maintain documentation of therapy services provided to each patient according to facility and professional standards, revising as necessary.
  • Maintain a caseload as assigned.
  • Participate in treatment team meetings and collaborate with other staff to facilitate services for the patient as appropriate to their treatment plan.


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:



  • Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or Human Services field required. Licensure preferred.
  • One or more years' experience working with comparable patient population required.
