Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment and Plan Development: Conduct comprehensive evaluations, assess patient functionality, and develop individualized home health care plans, including occupational therapy procedures and functional activities, based on physician orders.
- Therapy Implementation and Oversight: Deliver therapy treatments, monitor the use of therapeutic equipment and prosthetic devices, and ensure adherence to clinical best practices to achieve quality outcomes.
- Home Visits and Patient Safety: Provide therapy services directly in patients' homes, maintaining a focus on safety, effective use of equipment, and the consistent delivery of high-quality care in alignment with the established plan
Qualifications
- Licensed or otherwise regulated, if applicable, as an Occupational Therapist by the state in which practicing, unless licensure does not apply in the practicing state.
- Graduate of an occupational therapist education program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) of the American Occuational Therapy Association, Inc. (AOTA), or successor organizations of ACOTE.
- Eligible to take, or has successfully completed the entry-level certification examination for Occupational Therapists developed + administered by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, Inc. (NBCOT)
- One year experience caring for similiar patient population as to be assigned.
