POSITION SUMMARY:

Coordinates with Sales, Technical/Quality, Mining, Customer Service, and Management to assess priorities and shipment plans and schedules to meet customer orders and shipments.

RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS:

Scheduling

  • Schedule shipments of quicklime, bags and rail
  • Daily entry and reconciliation of outbound delivery documents to SAP shipping system.
  • Process inter and intra-company material supply shipments via truck and rail.

Customer Service

  • Interact effectively with customers, transportation vendors, sales personnel and skill centers
  • Balance customer demands / needs for daily deliveries against available inventories.
  • Handle customer requests and contract compliance i.e., certificates of compliance, volume reports, inventory monitoring, quality results, proof of delivery requests.
  • Manage POD issues for various customers, balance between customer and Lhoist
  • Handle customer requests on off-shifts and weekends, including being on call

Problem Solving

  • Work with Logistics department to resolve freight issues related to material returns/diversions
  • Interact with company terminals regarding sizing, tonnage, additions and deletions of material shipments

Reporting and Accounting Tasks

  • Process debits / credits for material returns in SAP.
  • Management of cash sales process at plants and terminals.
  • Calculate daily inventory and shipping reports
  • Month end closing duties.
Other duties as assigned

ATTRIBUTES: What are the Essential Knowledge/Skills/Abilities for this position?

  • Must be able to effectively communicate with customers and company personnel to ensure accurate and timely shipments
  • Knowledgeable in business process flow - order to cash process.
  • Know customer demands for sizing, quality and quantity in relationship to current inventory
  • Capable of dealing with constantly changing priorities
  • Previous SAP experience preferred but not required
  • Computer / systems / Excel spreadsheet proficiency is a necessity.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and flexibility as well as a sense of urgency are required. Must be able to multi-task.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and manage time effectively is critical.
  • Must be able to work overtime, holidays as needed.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

  • High School Diploma, GED Equivalent

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 3 years in order to cash business process, logistics, customer service, or related discipline.
