The primary function of the Physician employed by Northeast Medical Group Urgent Care and Walk -In Centers is to provide primary and episodic high quality medical care to adults and children at the Centers. The Physician leads the caregivers and administrative support staff to perform assigned duties while displaying the highest standards of ethical and moral conduct as well as acting in the best interest of Northeast Medical Group, support our mission, vision and values to optimize the health and well-being of our patients. Qualifications EDUCATION Degree of M.D. or DO with ABIM or ABFM recognized residency. Valid American Board certification in either Internal Medicine or Family Medicine EXPERIENCE A minimum of one year of experience as a practicing physician. LICENSURE Valid and unrestricted Connecticut medical license. ACLS certification. Valid DEA registration and Controlled Substance Certificate SPECIAL SKILLS Understanding of medical coding and billing. Knowledge of JCAHO accreditation requirements and state and federal regulations including OSHA, HIPAA, blood borne pathogens , and others Competent with common PC applications including Internet, Email, Microsoft Office and Electronic Medical Record. Ability to supervise, train and evaluate new and current staff. PHYSICAL DEMAND MMR is required. Varivax (chicken pox vaccine) or evidence of prior chicken pox is required. Hepatitis B (or signed declination) is required for those with potential exposure to blood/body fluids. Tdap and influenza vaccination are strongly encouraged. YNHHS Requisition ID 131048 |
